Dark Arts - Taught by Rena

"Ehh.. thanks," he said and sent her an awkward smile. "I'm late." He pointed out the obvious.

Rena smiled. "At least you can admit it." She said.

Joey dropped off his homework and headed to his desk to do some work on his laptop.

Rena frowned. "You can do better than this, Joey. Re-do it please." She said impatiently.

"You asked for an opinion on his execution. I gave you one. His life means nothing to me," Joey responded while staring into his screen.

"If his life means nothing, explain why you think that. 'I don't care.' Is not a sufficient answer. I suggest you drop the attitude or you'll find yourself out of this class in no time." Rena said sternly.

Akio watched the situation going on between the teacher and Joey. He himself hadn't even written anything yet.

Rena shot a look at Akio. "DO YOUR WORK." She yelled.

Joey typed up a quick explanation.

In a rare display, Joey demonstrated his use of magic by snapping his fingers. The revised text appeared on a blank sheet in his hands. Joey had just summoned text from a temporary document file. "He did it like this. I might also add that computing and magic theory aren't awfully different."

Akio slowly pulled up a piece of paper while staring at Rena. "What was this work about, again?" he asked.

"Thank you." Rena said, taking up his work to look through. She glared at Akio. "You better get the notes off of someone else, I'm not repeating it." She snapped.

Joey, still hungover and feeling like a dick, decided so stand up and walk over to Rena. He put his finger under her chin, lifted it, and said "You're cute when you're mad, teach."

Clamming up, Rena froze and blushed, before managing to choke out, "And you're an idiot when you're not working." Pushing his hand away.

Akio reached out for Rena to get help but she didn't seem to care. "Damn," he mumbled, looking like an unsatisfied child.

Joey gave Akio a big shit-eating grin. "Tough break, huh?"

Rena groaned. "Class dismissed." She said, packing up her things.

"Look at the bight side. You don't have homework today. So maybe you can use that time to finish last class'. Or you could just dick around like me," Joey said to Akio.

"Dick around?" Akio asked him. Who was this guy?

Joey then left the room to go get another drink.

Walks to the front of the class, drops off a copy of my notes on akios desk and presents my homework. "Here, I have to plan my astrology lesson so, sorry if its a tad rushed. " she walks back to get reira, making her visible again.

Akio looked up when the homework girl dropped her notes in front of him. ".. Thanks," he said, surprised, grabbing the sheet of paper. He stood up and walked towards the door with the notes.

Picking up reira and gently tucking her into her pocket, making sure she doesn't wake up. Takes stuff and leaves the classroom.

"Thanks Sakku." Was Rena's rejoinder.

Rena entered the room and began writing the day's lesson on the board.

"Dark magic is not about learning how to create the magic, but also how to control it. This is a very strenuous form of magic and takes a lot of effort. Most of you would know that dark magic has been given the stereotype of 'evil' or 'bad' magic. The reason for this is that many of the magicians who used this form had very little control over the magic. Once mastered, dark magic can begin to consume your very being, making it difficult to harvest the strength you need to control it. Which is why it it best to begin training in this area from your very first lessons."

Walks into the classroom, scanning the empty desks. First here, huh? She walks up to one of the desks and takes a seat. Reira pops out from her shoulder and her little ears twitch curiously.
