Infirmary

"Basic magic. It's really quite simple, but you'll learn that once you're healed and well rested."

"I'm fine, thank you. It's just that I'm strapped to this bed and maybe learning magic can get me the Hell out."

"Well, every wizard contains something known as 'mana'. It is the magic energy fueling the spells of magic users. From what I can tell, you are an electric user, meaning your hands or wand, however you choose to expel your magic, will become and outlet for that electrical energy. An example of this would be casting a basic lightening bolt, which can cause damage to opponents."

"Doesn't help that my hands are strapped. That fucking albino... when I see her, I'm gonna...Nnnnggh...."

Right as a vein tightened on Joey's forehead, the clock next to him started emitting sparks, then exploded.

Rena jumped, not prepared for the explosion Joey had caused. "Woah, woah. Calm down. See what can happen if you get too worked up?" She says, pointing to the clock. "Before we teach you ANY magic, we're going to need you to learn some restraint, so it will be easier for you to control your magic."

"What the fuck? I did that? But you said hands. Anyway, I'm just interested in getting out of here. If I'm gonna use magic, it's gonna be to clear out any assholes that put me in this position again. Now let's see if I can't get get out of this bed."

"Once you learn to control your magic, then you'll be able to channel it directly through your hands, but someone who hasn't undergone proper training for such things can cause magic to erupt from anywhere, for any reason." She replies. "I'm going to untie you, promise me you won't turn rabid and start destroying things." Rena said, cautiously edging closer to his bed.

"Whatever. I just want to go home."

"Rena," Levi finally speaks up. "Your responsible for him if he runs off, you know."

Not turning around and maintaining her eye contact with Joey, Rena holds her hand up, shushing Levi. "Well that won't be happening any time soon, sorry to say." Rena says in response to Joey, untying the ropes holding him down.

"Says you," Joey replied as he proceeded to run for the open window.

Rena grabs Joey's still damp shirt, preventing him from moving any further and drags him back to his bed, tying him back down. "Tough." She says, walking slowly toward the door.

Moves out of Rena's path, and sits on sofa, clearly amused by what just happened.

Joey slips out his right hand and flips Rena off. Except he did more than just give her the finger.



"Heh. Looks good on you," Joey replied with familiar shit-eating grin.

Rena raised her hand to touch her hair, caressing the soft contours of the curls. She shoots him her familiar smirk, her lips curled to one side and walks over to the mirror in the infirmary. Patting her hair gently, "Yeah, it's quite fitting actually. Thanks Joey. Oh, but there's something you should know, don't mess with a sociopath." She says, grinning as she exits the infirmary.

"...Forget the albino. I hate this bitch," Joey said to himself after Rena had left the room.

"Hmmm..." Levi was now silent, as she considered the clock. "Should we blame that on Rena?"

"You want your horns turned into lightning-rods, woman?" Joey remarked. "I hate being trapped here. I want to go home pretty damn bad."

"I heard that." Rena calls back, and walks off.

"EAT A DICK, BITCH!" Joey yelled.

Looks to door. "Ugh... I'll tell Sakku that Rena broke the clock. It's fine." She mutters, completely ignoring Joey's rude shout.

Joey laid back down on his back mumbling vulgarities under his breath.

Looks at him. "Has Sakku visited you yet? The albino women? I'm trying to find her."

In the hallway of the infirmary, Rena runs into Sakku. "Oh gosh Sakku, hey! Something happened in the infirmary, Levi was taunting Joey and he got really angry and insulted Levi quite a lot. That girl has quite a few insecurities, just between you and me.." Rena sneered. "Anyway, she ended up throwing the clock at Joey and now it's in pieces." She cried, looking astonished.

"Sure. Y'know, i was there the whole time, just invisible. Try harder next time." She says frowning, turning back to the infirmary. "How else would i have trapped the kid." She calls out, then walks in.
